![]() hair on the toilet and in the shower), and water stains in the ceiling. This room was horrendous and probably one of the worst rooms I’ve even stayed in! There was a hole in our sheet, the bottom mattress (box springs) wasn’t covered, there was serious mold in our shower (for the first time in my 35 years I felt the need to wear flip flops while I showered), there were “remnants” of the previous guests in places where you don’t want reminders that you aren’t the first people to stay there (i.e. While I understand all rooms can’t be newly remodeled, it does seem that those that are older can at least be kept up and made to look semi-fresh. It was old, dreary, dusty and just plain nasty. I had a hard enough time navigating my luggage through this maze (bell assistance was not offered) so I can’t even imagine how I’d do it if I was in a wheelchair! My husband and I travel quite a bit and stay everywhere from Hampton Inns to luxury hotels, and while I knew not to expect luxurious accommodations (he was staying here for work), I wasn’t prepared for the filth we walked into upon entering our room. I found it rather odd, and even a little rude, to place a handicapped room that far from everything. It was also a handicapped room, which we didn’t mind, but not only was it a long trek from the front desk through the casino (up and down a few stairs even) to the elevator but it was quite a hike from the elevator once we reached our floor. And by old, I mean dark, dreary, dirty and just plain gross. My husband and I checked in late on a Saturday night and there were none left so we were put in an old room. Whatever you do, make sure you get a newly remodeled room (I think they’re called “Go Rooms”). Next time I go to Vegas, I may just stay at the Flamingo! More Show less There are also plenty of lounge chairs all over the place. You have to bring your own towels (as towels are for hotel guests only), but they do provide lockers for you to keep your personal belongings in while you're there. ![]() The DJ plays some pretty good music and the atmosphere is generally festive in a laid back sort of way. The grounds are kept clean and there's staff continously cleaning up. The pool bar has daily drink specials and from 4pm to 6pm it's Happy Hour, so drinks are 2 for 1. The pool is fabulous - large enough not to feel crowded, although in actuality it was. However, the Flamingo holds a daily Pool Party beginning at 4pm (until about 8pm, when the pool closes) and it's open to the public. Unfortunately, almost all hotels in Vegas have stopped this practice (due to liabilities, and honestly, they're not to be blamed). ![]() Didn't actually stay at this hotel, but the hotel we stayed at had a very tiny pool and not much happening, and I had heard that you could buy daily pool passes to other Vegas hotels, so I called around.
